• A novel nonanuclear terbium cluster based on bisacylhydrazone ligand was synthesized and characterized for the first time. • The terbium cluster had strong antibacterial activity, good biosafety, and could accelerate the healing of infected skin wounds. • It promoted collagen deposition, reduces inflammation and enhances angiogenesis to optimize the microenvironment for skin regeneration.
