Abstract

In order to investigate the relationship between microstructure and performance of electrocatalysts, we prepared ZIF-67 with four different morphologies and examined their efficiency in catalyzing oxygen evolution reaction (OER). The crystal morphology of ZIF-67 changes significantly with increasing surfactant under different reaction times. Different morphologies of ZIF-67 expose different crystalline surfaces, along with a change in the number of exposed active sites. As revealed by the electrochemical catalysis tests, nanosheet-structured ZIF-67 showed the best OER electrocatalytic performance, with an overpotential of only 390 mV at a current density of 10 mA cm(-2).
