• Dysregulation of mitochondria is closely implicated in the pathogenesis of TNBC. • Mitochondria modulate metabolic reprogramming, immune evasion, and programmed cell death in TNBC. • We summarize mitochondria-targeted therapeutic strategies for TNBC, including direct protein targeting, pathway regulation, mitochondrial modification, and combination regimens. • We review recent advances in TNBC clinical therapeutics from the perspective of mitochondria-related pathological mechanisms.
