• Temperature-dependent multiaxial ratchetting of cast AZ91 Mg alloy is investigated. • Additional non-proportional softening is more evident with increasing temperature. • Non-equal-frequency paths cause asymmetric hysteresis loops and zigzag ratchetting. • A mechanics-informed ML surrogate model enables rapid ratchetting prediction.
