Abstract
En 中文
• Pediatric hypnotic prescribing in Japan increased from 2014 to 2023. • Increases were larger among adolescents and females. • Prescribing shifted toward melatonin and orexin receptor antagonists. • Post-2020 increases may reflect pre-existing trends, pandemic-related changes, and new pharmacological options. • In analyses excluding melatonin, increases persisted mainly among adolescents.
