Abstract

This paper develops new goodness-of-fit tests for continuous distributions using progressively Type II censored data. By leveraging the transformation of Balakrishnan and Sandhu (Am Stat 49:229-230, 1995), the censored data are converted into a complete sample from a standard uniform distribution, forming the basis of our tests. We examine both fully specified null distributions and cases with unknown parameters. Simulation studies show that several of the proposed tests are highly competitive, frequently outperforming existing methods.
