Cultural competence is increasingly recognised as a methodological imperative in research involving diverse populations, and yet it remains inconsistently theorised and weakly embedded within methodological discourse. Existing frameworks often lack practical traction, leaving researchers without clear strategies for integrating cultural considerations systematically. This paper addresses this gap by reimagining the ACT model (Activate Consciousness, Connect Relations, Transform Practices) as a structured, action-oriented framework for embedding reflexivity, relational ethics, and equity-driven design across the research process. Drawing on a critical meta-synthesis of cross-disciplinary literature, supported by ChatGPT-4o DeepResearch, the paper develops a reflexively grounded research guide for navigating methodological practice in an increasingly complex research landscape shaped by geopolitical contestation and renewed demands for equity and inclusion. The ACT model is presented as a generative framework for inquiry that supports methodological judgement and positions CC as integral to research integrity rather than as a discretionary ethical supplement.
