• The CVEFG method is presented for solving 3D large deformation problems. • 3D CVMLS approximation is applied to obtain the shape function. • The discretize‌ integral weak form of 3D large deformation problems with the CVMLS is given. • Compared to the EFG method for 3D large deformation problems, the CVEFG method achieves greater precision.
