Abstract
En 中文
• Employee H&S policy scores are positively associated with higher firm value (Tobin’s Q). • The positive H&S policy–firm value effect holds across both pre- and post-COVID-19 periods. • Stronger H&S policy–firm value association in the later Affordable Care Act period. • PSM and IV tests confirm the positive H&S policy impact on firm value, addressing endogeneity. • H&S policy score remains significant even after accounting for other H&S variables and ESG scores.
