Abstract

The nonconforming virtual element method (VEM) for the semilinear elliptic problem is developed in this paper. The nonlinear right-hand side is approximated by using the L(2 )projection. The optimal convergence of the nonconforming VEM in the broken H-1 norm is proved. Finally, some numerical experiments are carried out to support the theoretical results. (c) 2022 Elsevier Inc.
