The Plastic Turn is a theoretical exploration into the relationships between the plastics and poetics since the early twentieth century. Ghosh applies scientific concepts related to polymerization and chemistry to apprehend modernist and modern artistic and literary production. The Plastic Turn draws examples from the visual arts and literature from different geographical contexts and periods to demonstrate the plasticity of reading and literary practices.
