Thermodynamic properties of Al-Cu-Fe-Ti liquid alloys were studied in the framework of General Solution Model at different cross-sections in the temperature range of 1873- 2127 K. The optimised self-consistent parameters for excess Gibbs energy of mixing of constituent binary subsystems available in the literature were used for this purpose. In thermodynamic properties, the excess Gibbs energy of mixing and the activities of components of the quaternary system were computed at the above mentioned temperatures. The surface tension and surface compositions of the system were computed using the Butler model with the help of the values determined from the thermodynamic functions. The effect of the interactions in the binary and ternary subsystems on the complex formation tendency in the quaternary liquid alloy was studied. The compositions of different stable quaternary complexes were also analysed which can be helpful for the fabrication of new materials.
