Abstract

• Developed a benchmark-informed, site-constrained square-improvement framework. • Summer NPET and PPET of Sun-exposed respondents were 23.4 °C and 22.3 °C. • Identified 14:00 as the peak period of daytime thermal stress in all squares. • Tested interventions yielded limited PET reductions under TMD assumptions. • Urban square cooling should respect spatial, functional limits and type boundaries.
