• MES-like gene expression in glioblastoma is a shared, cross-cell-type tissue state • MES signatures are spatially confined to the tumor bulk, absent at the periphery • Hypoxia and blood plasma reversibly induce MES states in organoids and astrocytes • MES activation is organized around vasculature by local hypoxia gradients
