Polarization-dependent optical components are crucial for advanced photonic information processing, yet conventional bound state in continuum (BIC) metasurfaces lack intrinsic polarization selectivity and angle insensitivity. Here, we propose and numerically demonstrate an all-dielectric metasurface supporting a symmetry-broken, polarization-selective quasi-BIC, which is exclusively excited under transverse magnetic (TM)polarization. The experimental feasibility and potential challenges for fabricating and characterizing such devices are discussed throughout the manuscript. Through detailed multipole decomposition, we reveal that the quasi-BIC is predominantly governed by a toroidal dipole (TD) resonance, offering clear physical insight into the mechanism of polarization-dependent light confinement. Leveraging the strong field localization and high-Q resonance of the TD-dominated quasi-BIC, we realize polarization-dependent near-field imaging, in which distinct surface patterns are selectively illuminated by orthogonal polarizations. Moreover, the proposed metasurface exhibits remarkable angular insensitivity, enabling wide-angle and stable imaging performance. These findings highlight the potential of the metasurface in polarization-multiplexed image display, optical encryption, and super-resolution sensing, with straightforward scalability to multi-pattern encoding via spatial mapping of asymmetry parameters and orientations.
