• Transparent-film platform integrates electrochemical and visual readouts. • Electroactivated PdNP/graphene enables enzyme-free lactate sensing. • Lactate was determined from 0.1–8 mM with an 82 µM detection limit. • FeCl3/H2SO4 zone enabled rapid visual cholesterol screening. • The dual-mode device showed reliable performance in human serum samples.
