• Ti3AlC2/CaCO3 nanocomposites exhibit significantly improved thermal stability. • Thermal conductivity increased up to 5.179 W/mK with 5 wt.% Ti3AlC2 loading. • UV absorption enhanced, forming strong UV barrier in 200–400 nm range. • Ti3AlC2 nanosheets improve dispersion and interfacial bonding in CaCO3. • Decomposition temperature increased, delaying CaCO3 breakdown effectively.
