• First cyanoviologen-based 0-D coordination polymers exhibiting room-temperature phosphorescence were reported • Ultrafast photochromism within 2 s under 365 nm Uv with structural stability confirmed by single-crystal analysis. • Dual-functional platform for highly sensitive dimethylamine detection (10-4 M) and efficient tetracycline photodegradation. • Practical applications in time-dependent dual-level anti-counterfeiting and reusable test strips for food spoilage monitoring.
