• This systematic review synthesizes evidence on cycling and HRQoL outcomes in older adults. • Twenty-eight studies developed in 12 countries from 4 continents were retained. • Cycling in later life links to improved mobility, balance, and social-functional capacity. • Older cyclists often report psychosocial health, life satisfaction, and well-being improvements. • Age-friendly infrastructure, training, and community involvement can sustain cycling in later life.
