Abstract
En 中文
• The titanium hydride deformation was characterized using HR-DIC. • Fatigue crack initiation is promoted by a small angle between the phase boundary and slip trace. • Hydrides promote extrusion damage at surface phase boundaries, a preferred site for crack initiation, ultimately leading to matrix cracking. • A fatigue indicator parameter is developed to predict hydride-induced crack initiation sites.
