• Utilizing agricultural and industrial waste materials derived from cassava residue. • CP rGO-like carbon displayed a pronounced graphitic phase and a large surface area. • CP-TiO2 CE exhibited excellent electrocatalytic activity and efficient charge transfer. • CP-TiO2 had the highest efficiency (6.86%) compared to Pt (6.68%).
