Variable Busemann streamline stacking for rectangular-to-superelliptical shape transition

Abstract

• A variable streamline stacking technique for shape transition was proposed, which can incorporate the profiled truncation technique. • By stacking azimuthally varying Busemann streamlines, rectangular capture transitioned into superelliptic exits. • Parametric study was conducted with different exit curvatures, preserving key Busemann features with minimal disturbances. • Profiled truncation for straight leading edge also improved pressure ratio, mass capture, and flow uniformity.
