Abstract
En 中文
• Deep ripping and lime injection reduced soil strength and increased pH of a thin, hard-setting, acidic subsurface layer. • Yields of wheat, canola and barley were not increased by deep ripping or injecting lime into this layer. • Even without ripping or liming, canola roots penetrated the subsurface layer and accessed resources of the non-acidic subsoil.
