Virtual aggregate interlock testing using real crack surfaces from 3D scanning

Abstract
En 中文
• A novel computer-aided method is proposed to determine aggregate interlock stresses based on 3D scanning. • The proposed method is cross-verified against the Two-Phase Model and shows the feasibility in actual crack surfaces. • Not only the surface roughness but also the sliding direction can affect the magnitude of aggregate interlock stresses. • The surface roughness index may not be sufficient to describe its influence on aggregate interlock stresses.
