This case study describes the experiences of Virtual Discharge Nurses at a Magnetdesignated hospital. Implementation challenges, patient and nurse benefits, and future role recommendations emerged from the Virtual Discharge Nurse interviews. Findings highlight the importance of strategic communication, technology infrastructure, and leadership support in virtual care. Nurse leaders are encouraged to integrate digital competencies and collaboration strategies to sustain virtual nursing innovations and address evolving workforce needs.
