Abstract
En 中文
• Metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) is linked to vitamin D deficiency. • MASLD is linked to insulin resistance (IR) and abnormal activation of hepatic gluconeogenesis. • Vitamin D supplementation improves IR and MASLD in cafeteria diet-induced obese rats. • Vitamin D supplementation reduced the higher gluconeogenesis and glycogenolysis of obese rats. • Vitamin D may reduce hepatic glucose output and help control hyperglycemia in obese individuals.
