This article investigates the vulnerability of sampled-data control second-order multiagent systems under zero-dynamics attack and provides an asynchronous sampling countermeasure to address this issue. The research establishes quantitative relationship between <italic xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">zeros</i> introduced by sampling and two key factors, sampling period and measurement matrix. Furthermore, it demonstrates that only the zero-dynamics attack associated with unstable sampling <italic xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">zeros</i> significantly degrade the stability and consensus of systems. Subsequently, sufficient conditions for the existence of destructive zero-dynamics attack are provided, revealing the vulnerability of systems. In addition, to mitigate the security threat of systems caused by sampling, an asynchronous sampling countermeasure is proposed to eliminate the presence of destructive unstable <italic xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">zeros</i> in systems. Finally, the simulation on the multiple quadrotor unmanned aerial vehicles in the horizontal plane is taken to verify the vulnerability of the systems and the effectiveness of asynchronous sampling countermeasure.
