Abstract

Abstract

En 中文
We present a new process model, called the wavefront, that incorporates the views of other process models into a larger view that should help to generate requirements more clearly reflective of user needs. The wavefront requirements process model depicts the iterative, evolutionary, and concurrent natures of the requirements life-cycle. The model illustrates the precedence relations, and the lockstep flow of information from one activity to another as the process converges to a solution. The activities emphasized include problem analysis, product description, prototyping, user testing and feedback, and requirements maintenance. The movement from one step to another is clearly defined by the goals of requirements analysis: correctness, consistency, completeness and validity of the specifications.
