Abstract

• In this paper, a method based on wavefront-driven indirect optimization for generating high-quality amplitude-only holograms is proposed. • This method optimizes virtual object wavefront to achieve faster convergence, higher imaging quality, and superior robustness compared to conventional direct gradient descent and modified GS methods. • This optimization framework is also extended to multi-plane and tilted-plane holography via angular-spectrum and spectrum remapping. • A model-based neural network within the framework also shows fast convergence while training for real-time, high-quality hologram generation.
