• A sequential gradient annealing crystallization strategy enables the fabrication of CsBi3I10 perovskite films with densely packed large vertical grains through cyclic recrystallization. • A self-powered PPG sensor with a fingernail-wearable design is constructed, which demonstrates robust resistance to motion artifacts and enables highly accurate heart rate and SpO2 monitoring.
