Although knee post-traumatic osteoarthritis (PTOA) has been associated with altered loading, how weight-bearing (WB) activities should be modulated post-injury to preserve knee health remains unknown. This systematic review and meta-analysis examined the effects of WB locomotion on knee PTOA in rodents to provide insight into potential clinical implications.
