个人简介

An expert specialising in antennas and propagation, graphene, metamaterials and tunable materials for future THz wireless communications. He received his PhD from the Centre for Communications Research (CCR) at the University of Bristol, U.K. in 1998. From 1998 to 2000, he was a postdoc research fellow at the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, University of Birmingham, U.K. In May 2000, he joined the Antenna and Electromagnetics Group, Queen Mary, University of London, London, U.K., first as a lecturer and was promoted to Reader in 2005 and to Professor in 2007. Since 2018, he also serves as the Dean for Research at the Faculty of Science and Engineering, Queen Mary, University of London. He was elected to the ERA Foundation in 2007, Fellow of the IET in 2010, Fellow of the IEEE in 2013, and Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering in 2020. He is a holder of the Royal Society Wolfson Research Merit Award between 2013 and 2018, won the IET AF Harvey Research Prize in 2015, and was a co-recipient of the BAE Chairman's Silver Award in 2014.
