• A facial gesture–based interaction framework for game-based and interactive experiences is presented. • Hands-free control is supported using standard webcams and consumer VR headsets. • Facial gestures are mapped to gameplay mechanics across multiple interactive mini-games. • Lightweight calibration enables personalized and accessible facial-based interaction. • User evaluation indicates high gesture recognition accuracy and positive short- term interaction experiences.
