Abstract

Abstract

En 中文
A limit placed on the maximum values that can be taken by a variable may result in a sample distribution that is distorted by this ceiling. We propose a method that allows for the correction of means, variances, and correlations for such distorted samples. We examine computer-simulation results and some relevant time and performance-rating data to assess the utility and underlying assumptions of the proposed procedure. These initial results indicate that under some conditions ceilinged data may be usefully corrected by the proposed method.
