Abstract

Abstract

En 中文
• The CF pig model allows us to study the antiviral responses of CF lungs in very early life, prior to the onset of inflammation and lung disease. • Airway epithelia from newborn CF and non-CF pigs respond similarly to influenza infection. • However, newborn CF pigs show greater viral loads and immune responses than non-CF pigs when challenged with influenza in vivo. • Impairment of antiviral responses is present at birth in CF pigs.
