• For the first time, five different types of berry pomace carbon dots were prepared and confirmed to have both antibacterial and antioxidant functions. • RfP-CDs significantly inhibit the B. cinerea and have excellent fluorescence stability and biocompatibility. • RfP-CDs are incorporated into PLA, and the excellent properties of fiber films highlight their potential as active food packaging materials.
