• High-purity lignins (>81%) were successfully isolated from OTP using ternary DES • Lignin L2 increased the SPF of commercial sunscreen from 50 to approximately 170 • High UVA/UVB ratios (0.7-0.96) confirmed effective broad-spectrum protection • Lignin-based sunscreens showed excellent photostability and antioxidant activity • OTP lignin is a sustainable and effective bioadditive for cosmetics
