This paper investigates the event-triggered security control problem for cyber-physical systems (CPSs) when malicious periodic DoS attacks disrupt the controller-actuator channel. The finite attack energy of malicious adversaries is considered, and the DoS attacks are characterized by utilizing a periodic model. To save the network resources, an event-triggered controller is devised under such attacks. In contrast to existing results, this paper addresses the problem of security controller design by considering the attributes of periodic DoS attacks, rather than employing a switched system method to address the aforementioned issues. Sufficient conditions are derived to ensure that the closed-loop CPSs can achieve bounded stability. The critical value of the attack period is determined, below which the system's stability deteriorates. Moreover, an event-triggered security controller is designed to mitigate periodic DoS attacks. Finally, to verify the efficacy of the proposed control scheme, simulation results conducted on a wheeled mobile robot system under periodic DoS attacks are presented.
