Abstract
En 中文
• We systematically varied response formats in a digital assessment. • The varied response formats included drag-and-drop (D&D), drop-down, and grid. • We compared the effects of response formats in ordering and categorization tasks. • Confirming our hypothesis, D&D has a cognitive benefit in ordering tasks. • Choice of response format should map to cognitive processes involved in a task.
