Abstract

Abstract

En 中文
• Early gender development was examined in a multidimensional, individualized way. • At age 3, most children display rigid profiles of gender-typical characteristics. • At age 6, most children show a mosaic of gender-typical, atypical or neutral traits. • Mosaics of gendered traits are relatively stable over time in early childhood. • Girls are more likely than boys to shift from rigid to mosaic profiles over time.
