Abstract

• The physical changes and chemical transformations of 22 pesticides during the process of SMFH have been investigated. • Results showed that pesticide residue transfer rates correlated with water solubility, Log Kow and matrix of samples. • The risk assessment models were improved, fully accounting for the unique consumption patterns of SMFH. • Two varieties of SMFH were analyzed ensuring the high representativeness and typicality of our results.
