• Pulsed light (PL) significantly inhibited Alternaria alternata mycelial growth and spore germination in a dose-dependent manner on both Cheese agar media and Potato dextrose media, with maximum inhibition reaching ~30 % for mycelial growth and up to ~79 % for spore germination • Pulsed light induced severe cellular damage, including membrane depolarization, mitochondrial dysfunction, intracellular Ca2+ overload, DNA fragmentation, and chromatin condensation, especially at higher doses (120 pulses) • Oxidative and nitrosative stress (ROS/RNS) rapidly increased following Pulsed light treatment, leading to irreversible metabolic collapse in highly treated samples
