个人简介

Holds the Herbert L. Stiles Professor of Chemical and Biological Engineering position at Iowa State University. With a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Harvard University and a Miller Fellowship at the University of California, Berkeley, The scholar previously served as a faculty member at Purdue University. Current research emphasizes the design and understanding of advanced nanomaterials for sustainable energy, catalysis, and chemical manufacturing, covering two-dimensional metal carbides (MXenes), high-entropy alloys, thermoelectric materials, and nanoscale catalysts. The scholar’s work aims to translate fundamental materials discoveries into practical technologies for energy conversion, chemical production, and environmental sustainability. Selected honors include the Iowa State University College of Engineering D. R. Boylan Eminent Faculty Award for Research, the AIChE Nanoscale Science and Engineering Forum Young Investigator Award, and the DuPont Young Professor Award.
